Nfusion Nova FTA Receiver Support Site - Will there be a new solution for the Nfusion Nova?

There are several "projects" underway to restore service to Nova users. "Would you be interested in a paid one?"

Thats what the same folks that have provided paid support for the Neosat Ipro 2000/+ are asking. ExtremeDVB is the team behind the EKS $100 Lifetime Gold Membership.

They are considering enbarking on an Nfusion Nova project and want to know if any of you would be interested. Let them know here and Cast Your Vote!. The more people they see interested in the project, they will decide whether or not to go forward with it. Let them know how you feel about the idea.

1 Finger Salute to S.U.N.S.

The SUNS Team has released a new file on August 26th aimed to put an end to the popular Mac and Cheese recipe and is designed to shut down all Nfusion Novas and clones on September 1st. As such a new recipe will likely be required to restore Nfusion Nova service in the future.
On behalf of many Nfusion Nova owners, we would like to join with many of you in giving S.U.N.S. the great big middle finger...

The Nfusion Nova was once well known within the FTA community as being one of the first brands and models offering a Nagravision 3 solution for North American satellite provider Bell Expressvu.

A Special Recipe for the Nfusion Nova...

A temporary working solution posted August 7th had the Nfusion Nova running again on DN S.U.N.S.
Set to no longer work with the New Solaris and Phoenix Release 152.1 on August 26th

1 8oz package of macaroni
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups milk
2/3 cup soft buttered crumbs*

Preheat oven to 350o.
Cook macaroni in salted boiling water until almost soft (al dente). Drain well.
Grease a large shallow casserole and place a layer of macaroni on the bottom,
sprinkle with cheese, butter, flour and seasonings.
Continue to layer until all ingredients are used evenly in the layers.
Pour milk over all. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
Bake at 350o for 40 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8

* A new bin file appears magically and after loading it into your Nfusion Nova - Magically DN channels appear!

Simple instructions:

Download the file mac_and_cheese_1x.zip, Unzip, run mac.exe, Wait till it says "Ok we're done."
This creates a file called flash_me.bin in the folder you launched the application from (or your desktop).
"Now load up the flash_me.bin onto your nFusion Nova and enjoy your new MAC ;)"
That's it! Enjoy it while it lasts!

Note: Yes it has both the security check bypassed and the mac addr randomly generated!

* Officially, the SUNS support team has announced it will most likely not continue to support the Nfusion Nova. However, volunteer members of our FTA community have sworn to come up with an alternative solution to SUNS for supporting the Nfusion Nova through a public IKS system and restore DN as well as retain BEV permanently!

It had been previously announced that Nfusion Nova owners would need to UPGRADE the Nfusion Nova to the Nfusion SOLARIS by purchasing a replacement Ethernet Controller card.A new announcement has come that even users with this card will not get DN Channels!

If you purchased the Nfusion Nova to Solaris Ethernet Upgrade, you may be very upset!

Those who have already upgraded feel as if they have not only been taken advantage of when they originally purchased the Nfusion Nova thinking it would be supported for N3 based IKS, but now they have been let down again and taken for a ride as this worthless upgrade which cost most testers about $100 US to purchase and have the card shipped.

Now it has been discovered Nfusion Nova's will not get N3 programming through IKS even with the upgrade card!

This ethernet controller card contains the security chip that the operators of the Nfusion S.U.N.S. server now require to authenticate IKS sessions for retrieving necessary codewords to decrypt channels.
On Tuesday, June 23, 2009, Nfusion released its first Dish Network IKS file for all supported receivers EXCEPT the Nfusion NOVA. This was done because the Nfusion NOVA does not contain the security chip they are using to authenticate receivers and prohibit clones of the popular Nfusion NOVA from using IKS.
On the morning of June 24th, 2009 the upgrade card or ethernet controller was being sold for just .95 and later in the day the same product skyrocketed up to over . The ethernet card replacement will essentially make the system the same as the Nfusion SOLARIS and has the onboard security chip for authorizing with S.U.N.S.
The premise is of course to prohibit clones from being able to work with the IKS server and has absolutely nothing to do with the Nfusion NOVA's actual technical ability to share in the same IKS success of other models. They have chosen simply to put clone killing ahead of end user support for those who have purchased Genuine Nfusion NOVA receivers.

Because Nfusion has chosen to put clone killing ahead of you, users and purchasers of genuine Nfusion Nova receivers, my official position is that you SHOULD NOT PURCHASE THE UPGRADE in order to signal to the Nfusion Support team that milking existing customers is something no one should tolerate. We suggest that the Nfusion Support team abandon this practice immediately and permit genuine owners of Nfusion Nova's to make use of IKS now.

Dish Network Fix A SUNS Nfusion IKS solution for Dish Network channels that have changed to Nagravision 3 encryption has been released. There are bugs being worked out in this release now, however things should stabalize soon, althoug Nfusion Nova users have been told they will need to get an upgrade. You may want to hold off no that upgrade!.

Our list of Channels Working on the Nfusion Nova is updated regularly to include any new Dish Network programming that may be available through IKS. In order to solve problems as they arise and to test improvements, the server may be taken offline several times every now and then causing a SUNS disconnected message to appear. This is a normal situation expected to occur.
AT THIS TIME THE NFUSION NOVA WILL NOT GET DISH NETWORK CHANNELS THROUGH IKS!!!
